About Growing Rural Enterprise
Julie & Nick have worked together in rural development for over thirteen years. Their aim is to be people focused and to 'make a difference'. They facilitate rural projects connected with learning, along with projects involving work-life balance and personal and rural business development.
Julie's background is in horticulture, whereas Nick has agricultural experience. However both Nick and Julie are skilled communicators who aim to make participation in project related activity informal and friendly, whilst maintaining a structure and level of organisation that ensures that the project objectives and individual needs are met. Julie and Nick are both SFEDI Accredited Business Advisors and Social Enterprise Business Advisors. Julie and Nick have been widely recognized for their contribution to rural business development. - Develop business and personal confidence through positive thinking.
- Help make rural business viable and sustainable.
- One to one business mentoring, coaching, advice courses and interactive workshops for those running rural businesses
- Managing and delivering externally funded projects providing learning opportunities for running or start up rural businesses
- Identifying and communicating new opportunities for our clients
- Working with partners in the UK and in Europe to improve the rural economy, business sustainability and viability
- Be responsive to new challenges and opportunities - helping our businesses with change and development over time.
